YESYESYESSSSS dude this is such a fuckign self insert for me bc I’m like the shyest ever lol (this takes place when they’re like 15 or smth lol hence the mention of marco and “christa”)

Okay first of all? Jean having a type for quiet ppl?? Mikasa??? Marco??? You??? It’s all coming together. He absolutely adores you and often strikes up conversations with you, he’s really happy if he can actually get you talking a bit with him. He certainly likes being around somebody on the quieter side, it’s a nice change! Jean thinks it’s cool you’re so good at ODM and hand to hand combat, so he often goes to you to help him practice. It’s a good excuse too, just simply saying that you’re the best at the ODM gear and hand to hand combat, (other than mikasa of course, lol), and he just needs help with it! In reality he wants to spend more time with you. I could totally see you being Levi’s favorite as well because you’re quiet and not annoying, but that means you’re likely very competent, and don’t complain ever, and you’re just… not annoying … lol which is cool and I think Jean would like that a lot! Might be a bit intimidated if Levi is protective of you at all to be honest though.

Jean when around a crush, tries to be friendly. He often comes up with excuses to spend time with you, so in general he’s very clingy. However, to many people that know him well, know he takes a special liking to you. It’s pretty obvious, if the constant blushing doesn’t give him away, he’s extremely protective of you in many aspects. Not just when it comes to titans, if somebody was rude to you in the slightest he would absolutely step in to protect you. Jean is always there for you, even if you try to say you’re fine or push him away, he is stubborn and won’t allow it! He’s very good at reading you as well, so he knows if somethings wrong.

When it comes to asking you out, it takes a lot of courage. He takes forever to do so as well, like honestly he could just sit in silence forever about it. Partially because he’s scared of rejection, partially because he’s scared of losing you and that it would be even worse on him if you dated. He’s all red in the face as it happens, and he only did it thanks to Christa, Marco, Connie, Sasha, Armin and Reiner cheering him on. The point is, he’s very nervous, he fumbles over his words as he gets it out, he tries to act confident but he simply can’t.

Sasha adores you! She’s very nice and friendly to you, and is definitely a close friend of yours right off the bat. She tries really hard to bond with people generally, but with a crush even moreso! Since you’re shy, it actually makes things easier since you’re not around many people! She does nice things for you too, like giving you her share of food, certainly something she wouldn’t do for just anyone! She could talk your ear off for hours, so she doesn’t mind if you don’t talk much (but allowing you to get a say in when you want to). She thinks it’s cool you’re good at your ODM gear and hand to hand combat, and probably asks for some pointers every once in awhile. Isn’t like Jean where she uses it as an excuse to spend time with you, because Sasha is much more honest and doesn’t plan things the way he does. Sasha would probably outright say she wants to spend time with you, instead. She does wonder why levi likes you so much, but she can’t blame him since she absolutely adores you!

Around a crush, Sasha can be pretty obvious. As stated before, gives you food! Something she never does! Which should let you know that around a crush, she is giving and generous. She would give you the entire world if she could! She is quite clingy, like Jean. However much more upfront about it, she speaks her mind. Jean is definitely a guy that shows he cares with action, Sasha is moreso “I want to protect you!” sorta deal. I believe she has a crazy amount of trust in you though, especially since you’re so good with your ODM gear and such. So she never doubts your skills, and isn’t over protective in anyway. She just naturally worries something may happen to you but in this line of work that’s not weird to worry about.

When it comes to asking you out, she probably does it early on! She comes to the conclusion she needs to tell you how she feels because anything can happen in this line of work and she doesn’t want any regrets in her life. She wants to tell you way before either of you die. She tells you fairly quickly and doesn’t think much of it? Like she doesn’t care much for being rejected, sure she’d be sad but she’d be happy being your friend anyways! She would be ecstatic if you said yes, and liked her back too of course! But it’s not the end of her world if you said no. She just likes being with you, after all.

Connie definitely talks to you a lot, often striking conversations with you. Usually random, goofy and dumb. Anything he can do to make you laugh! He doesn’t mind that you’re shy in the slightest, he certainly likes to talk a lot so it’s totally cool if you don’t say too much. Sometimes though he asks for you thoughts and opinions on certain things, when it comes to crushes he likes hearing them talk about things, be passionate about things, so he asks you a lot of questions about yourself. He’s a bit of a try hard, so he is buddies with you off the bat and goes the extra mile to make sure you’re comfortable with him. He thinks it’s great you’re good at ODM and hand to hand combat as well, because he could certainly use the extra help. Not that he’s horrendous at it or anything but he would definitely like to one up Jean just to annoy him. He is a little intimated by Levi liking you so much, since he’s kinda clingy with you and loves talking to you.. if Levi is more strict with him because of you being his favorite it’s an annoyance. But I think it’s more likely Levi is more lenient with you, so he’d get to spend more time with you.

As for how he acts around you, I think he tries hard to be friendly, as stated before. I am under the belief Jean and Sasha would ramble about their crush a lot to people, but Connie does it much more often. Pretty much everyone knows he likes you since he talks about it so much, he talks about it to all the guys, and even some of the girls. (Christa and Sasha though really). He goes the extra mile to just make you laugh, even when he’s sad he comforts you in your time of need, and often has these nice talks with you that aren’t goofy and dumb. He talks about you meeting his family and going to his hometown sometime. He’s surprisingly sappy and emotional for somebody who likes you strictly in the platonic sense! Connie is a mixture of Sasha and Jean, where he is a action = words sorta dude, but at the same time would not hesitate to tell you he cares about you a lot.

When he asks you out finally, it’s on his own accord. He takes a very long time, mainly because he’s scared of the outcome. There are many things that can happen, and wouldn’t want t hinge to be awkward between you two. Many of his friends are nagging him about it, but he eventually decides to finally go through with it. He’s quite blushy about it, but that’s the only indication you get about his feelings because he’s so uncharacteristically serious about it, there’s so much emotion in his eyes at the very least. He’s quite scared of rejection to be honest, so he’s really hoping you say yes!

Connie calls you while he’s drunk n just starts spilling his heart out to you. “Hey, I love you. Did you know that?” You can hear him slurring his words a little, sighing a little too loudly into the phone, “I bet you did. I wish you were here. Sasha and Mikasa are already passed out from drinking.” He looks around, sees Armin and Jean pouring another cup for themselves. Eren’s face is so flushed and pink, it makes Connie laugh a little.

“I really wish you were here.”

dating connie feels like two idiots in love.

it’s pulling childish faces at each other in the middle of a serious speech from behind the line. eyes immediately locking across the room when something related to an inside joke comes up. sneaking out to have a small adventure, just the two of you alone, little giggles barely being contained from escaping the beams on your faces, hands never letting go of their tight grasp.

it’s staying up past curfew to meet at the stables, careful not to light them up with the candle that illuminates them while you share your gossip, maybe dance stupidly with the horses as your only audience. Just like they’re your only audience when it starts pouring and connie drags you out into it to continue dancing, droplets leaking between kisses.

it’s not giving a shit for the looks of the others when you profess your love for each other in the cringiest ways, just to spite them. big dopey smiles, knowing that every word you speak, as cringey and gross as it may sound, it’s as true as it can get. “my sweet, sweet thing, i do love you like the sun loves the moon, and i am forever grateful that unlike them, we can be together, for i wouldn’t know what it would be of me if you were gone!”

it’s trying new things together, which becomes a tradition in your relationship. this is a first relationship for both of you, and it’s scary and new, each step feels shaky and full of uncertainties, but whatever is scary and new holds nothing against you. adrenaline and excitement filling your bodies at the possibilities of embarking whatever they throw at you together.

it’s the absence of consequences, only you two in your own little world. and if not, then it’s you two against the world. adoration when you look at him, receiving a look of wonder back. wonder of how on earth he got so lucky, wonder of how good you’ll look the day of your wedding, wonder of how your future house will be decorated.

because as much as you two are young and idiotic, he can’t imagine a future where you’re not by his side.

Connie had just woken up, it was already mid morning so of course you had gotten impatient and made yourself breakfast. “Is there any for me?” He said with his usual big mopey puppy eyes, of course thats the first thing he’s asking about. “No, you slept in.” Your reply was nonchalant as you continued to play with your eggs, “Fuck they’re runny.” Connie came up behind you to wrap his arms around your head, “Can I have some, please?” You scoffed at your boyfriends antics, “No, Connie you can cook your own!” He pouted before kissing your head, eventually he let go and let you eat your not so good breakfast, “Fine you’ll just have to pay for neglect!” He found your sushi from the night before and began eating, more so digging up all the good parts like a five year old. Obviously you gave up and just walked into the kitchen, “You never said goodmorning.” Connie darted up as if someone just told him his grandma died, “I’m so sorry, goodmorning beautiful I love you so much!” This wasn’t the end of the world, it was actually pretty funny. Just the way he wrapped you into a bear hug while kissing every part of your face. “You can have my eggs.” His face looked over to the runny and already cold eggs, “No thanks! I’ll starve!” You stuck out your tongue at him while you grabbed onto his shoulders, then he kissed it, he kissed your tongue. “Eww! Connie thats so gross.” He giggled at your reaction, “Thats not what you said last night, babe!” He let go of you and went digging for something to drink. “Connie Springer! God you’re immature.” He looked back with the widest smile you’ve ever seen on him, “But you love me!” That certainly was the truth you guessed. “Yeah, I love you.” Was the last thinng you could get out before he grabbed you and tickled you to no end.

i’m moving to atlanta in july, and im moving into my dream apartment and it has two beds which is perf because i get to have second space for my smoke room!!

so on that note like imagine just moving into your new apartment with connie or any aot boy<33

congrats on the move. we love to see it! we love hearing about people making big moves over here! anyway, feel like moving with connie would be like completing a little puzzle that was missing a couple pieces. dating him for over a year, you two spent many times over each other places before moving in together. the times over connie's place of leaving so much of your stuff over his place. or him staying at your place to the point that he has his own toothbrush. you even picked up the habit of buying some of his favorite snacks and food to put in your fridge for when he comes over. it didn't take long until you two decided to move in together. a nice high apartment that has enough space for both of you and possibly a pet in the near future. early morning watching cartoons and eating breakfast. hosting game nights with your friends. you two even have a plant child too. although, i do feel like you two would have to compromise because connie hogs up the hot water in the shower......so you two shower together a lot.

The party was absolutely wild, people dancing and talking all around Connie and Sasha's house. You were actually surprised they invited you, seeing as you and Connie parted ways in high school, but apparently destiny brought you back in your undergraduate course, both of you studying chemistry. Everyone knew Connie was studying it for the drugs, though. Not that you minded, he was still himself, always cheerful, always down to party, always cocky.

"Anyone wanna play beer pong? Oh, come on, no one? What's the matter, afraid the Springmeister's gonna beat your asses?" You heard Connie shout from the living room. Alright, you could use some fun.

"Calm down, Springmeister, I'll play with you." You laughed as you walked into the room.

"No, not you, I meant one of the guys." He rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.

"Oh?" You arched your brow. "Why, afraid I'll beat your ass?" Your tone was sarcastic, mocking his own words.

"What? Do you think I'm scared of a woman? Bring it on, babe." He challenged you and people gathered around the table to watch the game. Some were even placing bets because apparently Connie was unbeatable at beer pong.

He was good, but you were better. You were down to 6 cups, while Connie had three more. Two more. One more.

"Quit beating me up! Jesus!" He slumped his shoulders and you giggled, feeling the four cups of beer warm your cheeks up. The girls were cheering behind you, while the boys encouraged him to kick your ass.

"Not gonna happen, Springmeister!" You threw the ball and it landed directly into his only cup. "Yes! Thank you, ladies, thank you." You bowed down in front of the women who eagerly clapped.

"This was pure fucking luck!" Connie leaned on the wall behind him, lips pursed, eyes glued to the floor. Everyone was already back to dancing and talking and you walked to him.

"Hey, you put up a good fight." You kissed his cheek before disappearing into the crowd.
